It was Juneteenth (2025) weekend. I was setting up my Worthy Notes-Timeless products. Next to me was a beautiful African inspired vendor. Her table and complete setup were full of culture. I told her that I would purchase something from her before we left and definitely before the rain. When I finally stepped over to her booth, for the last time, something caught my eye. It was a set of wooden coasters. Maya Angelou. The bold face, the name, the wisdom...and without hesitation, that is what I bought.

The Next Weekend

Days passed. Another vendor opportunity came. To be honest, I did not want to pack and go. I was tired, unsure, and hesitant. I showed up. As I was setting up my table, I remembered the coasters. Still unopened. I reached for them thinking that they would match my decor and it would match the Juneteenth theme. When I opened the box, I saw the 6 beautiful portraits of Maya Angelou. All different portraits of her. Then immediately, a certain one stood out.... It was Maya holding her book, "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings". I remembered her voice, the book, the feeling, the silence, and the breakthrough.

I paused.

Thats When I Knew

That book - that title - was more than a memory. It was CONFIRMATION. The coasters weren't just decor. They were NOTES. They were a prophetic whisper that this blog had to be born.

Not a blog for business.

A Blog for voice.

A space for NOTES. For TESTIMONY. For HEALING.

FOR THE VOICES THAT WERE ONCE SILENT- AND NOW ARE READY TO SING.

"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." - Maya Angelou

Why I Call them " NOTES"

I don't call this a blog. I call them "Notes"

Notes are written in the moment.

They're quick, honest, full of life.

They're tucked into Bibles, books, journals, prayers, and sometimes hearts.

Maya's voice reminded me:

This isn't just about product. It's about purpose.

Worthy Notes isn't just my brand- it's my ministry.

So, to the woman who sold me those coasters,

To the Maya whose legacy helped me find mine,

To the weekend I almost stayed home - but showed up anyway...

Thank you.

This space was born because of that moment.

And now, I invite you to leave a NOTE of your own.

*Share your Note below.

Your Story Matters. Even if anonymous. Even if still healing. Because someone is still caged - and your note may be the key.

Love it this is a blessing. This is not a blog it’s a ministry full of notes that our father does for us daily and this is a great place to share it.

There is a plan for us. The question is, are we living out our purpose? How do you know? Let’s get feedback on this.

The reading of John 15 gave me a view of my connection with Christ and God the Father therefore I follow image of Christ and continue to learn his Ways then listen to his voice as striving toward stable obedience and Humility to fulfill Plan and Purpose
